Xbox One Speed Test Internet Download A Game
I have a 300mbps connection and only get 15-30mbps in 'Test Internet Connection'. During that time, I can't stream movies or play online without pausing the download.PlayStation 4. It literally takes days to download a game or WoT update. It was simultaneously killing my connection for other devices. I compared the actual speed to my 360, and observed that the Xbone was using less bandwidth. I immediately noticed it suffered from poor connection quality specifically, the downloads were painfully slow.
I'm looking for solutions to optimize my connection on my end.I have carried out a broadband speed test using a PC connected by observing adaptors and the speed appears to be as expected for infinity 1 (averaging 38mbs). This is not a gripe thread about the WoT servers, or MS being bad. However testing it on my PS4, PS Vita, I. I get the recommended Speed (200-300mbps download). When I do a speed test on my laptop, ipad, iphone, etc.

For logistical reasons, that's just impractical for me at this time.Anyone else have suggestions or similar experiences?Friend of mine used a wireless bridge to improve his speed by right around 45%. That's the part that puzzles me.After spending $100 on a new router, I'm willing to upgrade my DSL plan, but I have no reason to believe that offering the Xbone more bandwidth will actually improve my connection, since it isn't maximizing current usage.Many friends report improved speeds by hard-wiring the Xbone to the router. The Xbox one only downloads at 1 mb/s, which isn't even a third of my capacity. I'm noticing slight improvement in speeds, but I still can't watch Netflix/YouTube/Amazon while the xbox one is downloading. I have not delved into the settings yet to optimize (help/advice welcome).
